The Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Fund announced, after publishing the results of sorting the applications of applicants for the last housing unit announcement, the rejection of the files of many applicants for housing apartments.. What is the reason?
The Ministry of Housing, represented by the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Fund, continues to sort and review the files of citizens applying for Sakan for All Egyptians 5 apartments.
The Ministry of Housing had previously opened the reservation door for the "Sakan for All Egyptians 5" announcement for all citizens, including people with disabilities, as the ministry provided the conditions booklet for Sakan for All Egyptians 5 in 358 automated post offices distributed across the republic, before it ended last month.
The Sakan for All Egyptians 5 project for middle-income consists of 78,730 housing units, with the unit areas being 75 and 90 square meters, with 5% of Sakan for All Egyptians units allocated to people with disabilities with special facilities.
The minimum net monthly income is EGP 3,500 to apply for the “Housing for All Egyptians 5” project, while the maximum monthly income is EGP 15,000 for a family and EGP 12,000 for an individual.
Mai Abdel Hamid, head of the Social Housing Fund, addressed the details of the document sorting process, as she inspected the progress of the process periodically. She stressed that accuracy and caution in sorting applicants’ files are among the main priorities to ensure that every citizen gets his or her right fairly.
The total number of those who purchased the conditions booklet exceeded 762,000 citizens, while about 589,000 citizens paid the reservation down payments, while 571,000 citizens registered through the Fund’s website.
More than 277,000 files of applicants for housing units within the “Housing for All Egyptians 5” initiative were sorted. However, the figures indicate that the percentage of files that did not meet the conditions was higher than usual.
According to statements by Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Fund, the main reasons that led to the rejection of the files of many applicants are related to their actual ownership of housing units. This is a violation of the terms of the submitted applications, as housing initiatives aim to help low- and middle-income citizens who do not own housing.
The Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Fund has identified a mechanism for identifying the reasons for rejection and exclusion, indicating that citizens can inquire about their status through the following:
